The "Introductory Sake Professional" course accredited by the Sake Sommelier Association (SSA) represents a unique opportunity for saké enthusiasts to further their understanding of saké from its origins and serving etiquette to its ingredients and production. This course includes some of the finest saké available and guests receive a certificate for their participation.

This course is for those starting a saké career or pursuing an interest in saké.

Progression Route: SSA "Introductory Sake Professional" > "Certified Sake Sommelier" > "Advanced Sake Sommelier" > "Master Sake Sommelier" > "Master of Sake"

No previous experience of saké tasting is necessary to register on this course.

This online course is the ideal way to discover this fascinating Japanese beverage from home or on the go.

Learn about sake through a 4-week online study programme that works flexibly around your existing commitments. The Level 1 Award in Sake Online course covers the same syllabus as the classroom course, but through a supported Online Classroom which allows you to study alongside your peers under the guidance of a dedicated educator assigned by the WSET headquarters. Please note that while the course is conducted online, the exam can be completed either in person at our venue in London or online from the comfort of your home.

For individuals new to saké study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of saké. This online live-streaming version will cover exactly the same syllabus as the "classroom" course, and includes an "in-person" tasting, revision and exam session at a later date. Taught by Marie, WSET Certified Sake Educator, Cordon-Bleu-trained food & drinks guru, and international wine/spirits/saké judge.

For individuals new to saké study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of saké. You will explore the main types and styles of saké through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe sakés accurately, and make food and saké pairings.

Upon completion you will be able to assess sakés accurately, and use this information and your understanding of sakés to make authoritative recommendations.

This course is for professionals working with saké or saké enthusiasts.
