Dry, "sur-lie" fermentation, perfectly clear with fresh acidity. With its pleasant body and complexity in taste, this Koshu wine goes exceptionally well with Japanese ingredients such as miso, soy sauce, wasabi and other fine food items.
ARUGA BRANCA is made using only Japan’s oldest Koshu variety of grapes, and is the hallmark of fine wine production in Katsunuma, Japan. Katsunuma is the centre of viniculture in Japan, and Koshu grapes have been grown here for more than 12 centuries. Katsunuma is located roughly in the centre of Japan’s main island Honshu, and is at the eastern side of Kofu valley in Yamanashi prefecture. Viniculture thrived in Katsunuma because of fine weather, extreme variation in temperature, and fertile soil with good drainage.
