Fermented in stainless steel tanks, the Kagayatake Koshu is left on its lees for 3 months which adds weight on the palate and concentrates the flavours.
The wine is light and floral in style, with notes of honeydew melon and apple flesh. The freshness and elegance of this wine are remarkable. The palate, like the nose, shows lemon and grapefruit notes, and a peppery spicy nuance with minerality on the finish. It has a thirst-quenching acidity.
In 2017, Grace Winery's Koshu wines won various gold medals at the world's biggest international wine competition "Decanter World Wine Awards" (DWWA). "Grace Koshu Private Reserve 2016" won a platinum medal and "Cuvée Misawa Akeno Koshu 2016" won a gold medal.
